Why detectors and satellites work together

A detector answers “is there conductive metal under this coil?” A satellite scan answers “which patches of this field look unusual from above?” Combining them saves fuel and empty hours on dead ground.

  1. Scan the parcel in VeldScan.
  2. Export or note pin coordinates / walk plan.
  3. Detect systematically inside the suggested search radius.
  4. Treat every pin as a hypothesis until the coil (or GPR) confirms it.

What Metal/Mineral pins mean

SWIR-based Metal/Mineral layers flag spectral alteration candidates — not “gold found.” They are priority zones for detector checks. Structure anomalies (radar / thermal / vegetation agreement) may point to walls, fills, or compaction — still field-verified.
